Heritage Μalta, Μάλτα
Heritage Malta is the national agency of the Government of Malta set up in 2002 under the provisions of the Cultural Heritage Act. It is entrusted with the management of all national museums and heritage sites in Malta and Gozo, including seven UNESCO world heritage sites. Since 2004 it has also been responsible for the conservation of the national cultural heritage.

Heritage Malta acts as a champion for education and public outreach, not only by supporting school-based learning, but also by encouraging people of all ages and backgrounds to broaden their horizons through the museums’ collections and conservation activities. Most importantly, Heritage Malta is committed to provide physical and intellectual access to a wide audience for all of its cultural sites and museums by enhancing access to disadvantaged groups and by facilitating the interpretation of its sites and collections. Its university institute, the Institute of Conservation and Cultural Heritage Management, offers a master degree programme on the conservation of cultural heritage.
